Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the largest in Indonesia, is a vast area of tropical rainforest and diverse ecosystems spanning North Sumatra and Aceh provinces. It’s a crucial habitat for endangered species like the Sumatran orangutan, tiger, rhino, and elephant, and is part of the UNESCO Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra.

Itinerary

2 Nights Bukit Lawang and 1 Night Camping in tent or shelter in the jungle at LEUSER National Park Visit the wild orangutan, Full day tracking and explore the tropical rain forest.

DAY 1: MEDAN – BUKIT LAWANG
Arrival at Kuala Namo International airport Medan, drive to Bukit Lawang with stop at rubber and Palm oil Plantation. Upon arrival at Bukit Lawang directly check in to the hotel.

DAY 2: BUKIT LAWANG – TRACKING LEUSER PARK (Overnight in Tent or Shelter) (B,L,D)
After breakfast , start a jungle tracking to explore the Leuser National Park to see the flora and fauna, of tropical rain forest, here we have the possibility to see Orangutan on their own habitat and other kind of animals such as Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Long Tail Macaque, Gibbon, Black Gibbon and others Overnight in tent or shelter in the jungle. Lunch and dinner provided.

DAY 3: CONTINUE TRACKING-RETURN TO HOTEL (B,L)
After breakfast, (a simple breakfast prepared by a tour guide) followed by tracking the forest, Full day tracking in tropical rainforests to explore wildlife in their natural habitat. Also observe various types of tropical plants.
In the afternoon, return to the hotel.

Day 4: BUKIT LAWANG – MEDAN / AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast free program at your own leisure.
At the appropriate time drive back to Medan , then proceed to the airport or the hotel.
